Let’s talk about something that gets overlooked way too often:
Your Summer Hours.Your boundaries. Your rhythms.
If you’re anything like me, summer brings a shift. The pace slows. Kids are home. Mornings are softer (or louder, let’s be honest). And if we’re not intentional, the demands of both business and motherhood will creep into every margin.
So here’s the truth:
You don’t have to be “on” all the time.
You don’t owe everyone instant access.
You get to decide what your availability looks like in this season.
Here’s what I’m doing this week:
Setting “work windows” in my planner (2-hour blocks max).
Saying no to mindless social media.
Updating my calendar and client autoresponder with my summer schedule.
Giving myself full permission to log off, even when it feels unfamiliar.
If you don’t define your hours… someone else will.
This is what my summer schedule looks like:
Slow mornings and easy breakfast
Morning at the pool, splash pad or indoor activity
Lunch and naps
Work block for me
Pick up the house & start dinner. Kids are probably watching movies.
Kids play till dark, and I read or do something else that is enjoyable.
This is your reminder to check in with yourself:
What do your summer hours look like?
Where do you need to unplug?
What boundaries will help protect your peace?
You are the CEO of your business—and the heart of your home. You get to choose how both feel this season.
Cheering you on to create space and set boundaries to be fully present and enjoy this summer!
